2018 Reality of Aid report: submissions on aid and climate change

How do governments and multilateral institutions support climate mitigation and adaptation efforts in developing countries through climate finance? How do they maximize the developmental and poverty impacts of their activities? Do donor countries provide climate financing as beyond and additional to Official Development Assistance in keeping with the principle of Common But Differentiated Responsibilities? Who profits from initiatives supported by climate finance allocations? What mechanisms are put in place to ensure active participation of local citizens, communities and stakeholders in decision-making?

These are just a few of the questions that we hope to answer through the climate change section of the 2018 Reality of Aid report.

The Reality of Aid Network is the only major North/South international non-governmental initiative focusing exclusively on analysis and lobbying for poverty eradication policies and practices in the international aid regime. Its biennial report brings together analysis from southern and northern CSOs on some of the most pressing issues for aid quantity and quality.

One of the themes for this years report is climate change, and contributions from expert organisations based in Brussels are very welcome.

Some more detailed guidance for contributors is here. If you are interested, please contact Polly Meeks from Eurodad, on pmeeks[at]Eurodad.org. Polly can also advise on any questions relating to the timescale for contributions.

Thank you, and hoping to hear from you!
